The City's Community Services Administrator is issuing violations to properties for failing to remove snow.

When I went to the area yesterday, the sidewalk was shoveled. However, there was no clear path between the apartments and the house next door, causing pedestrians to go onto Crescent Ave.

We have been attempting to get snow removal for 4 days now and have had several snow removal people not show up. Also the city has been piling snow on the corner that is falling into the sidewalk we are tasked with keeping clear. We have finally got someone coming today to work on the sidewalk.

Wait a minute, are you the same person that posted onto Nextdoor last night? Also, walking in the area today and found an even bigger problem. 40 Crescent Ave has not even been shoveled yet, other than the driveway.

Yes, I am, we have been left high and dry by two companies we had lined up. But thankfully we found someone and the sidewalks and driveway are being done right now.

Wait, are you at 40 Webster or 39 Webster because I see crews working at 40 Webster? Currently at the church across the street from the Clark Ave School.

And I meant Crescent, not Webster.

Melissa it is Friday. The snowstorm by all accounts had finished early Wednesday.

Do you not own a shovel? Take some accountability for your lack of action and making Chelsea less safe for many people, children (schools nearby) and elderly especially.

Um J, I had a knee replacement less than 6 weeks ago. I did the best I could to be able to get my car out to go to outpatient PT, but I have paid for it by barely being able to walk today. I am the only owner living in this building, all others are renters. Once I found out that the Trustee that was supposed to have secured snow removal had not done so the day before the blizzard I attempted to find someone. I've had two companies say they were going to do it, I had money in hand and they didn't show up at the last minute. Doing my best.

Persoannly, I see nothing wrong with Melissa' action. She clearly stated the people she hired never came. Now back to original subject, took some pics of the area to show why people are complaining. Broadway is on the left and Crescent Ave is on the right.

A violation was issued and the snow was cleared.
