I have ptsd. The fireworks are terrifying. Maddening. I'm scared to leave my home. They go on and on. Last summer was hellish. This year it has started again.

I've lived here and before that in other major cities for many years. This is not normal. The 2020 onset of fourth of july misery lasting weeks (or months) is doing real harm to your fellow neighbors. This is not a harmless way to show your malcontent. Please reconsider your actions.

And a plea to everyone else. Please keep reporting the fireworks to the police and the city council. There are many of us who really cannot keep living with this.
