First of all I have an issue with the way the photo was taken. That is clearly not 79 grove st in the background. I have provided my own picture for reference. This area all the way from 79 Grove st to the intersection of highland st and grove st is always littered with some sort of trash. I have on a couple of occasions called the DPW and complained about the amount of trash i have seen here. The nicest lady always answers and is always very attentive to my needs. I hate to always have to call her up and ask her to send someone to clean this area up. They should probably fine the people responsible for all this trash. I come through this area daily and I see all this trash it's only when I call DPW do I ever see it clean. They do a terrific job cleaning up but I would like to see some penalties for whoever is creating all this trash on the public sidewalks. It's a nightmare sometimes walking through here.
On Friday, a group of Grove St residents and myself were walking up and down the street noting areas of concern for trash. While we were walking, we noticed these barrels that were blocking a large part of the sidewalk and that were surrounded by trash. I was the only one who had See, Click, Fix on their phone, so I volunteered to send the report. There was no malicious intent in how the picture was taken; this was honestly how we saw it. When I asked the residents which house was closest, they said 79. Looking at your picture and mine, and looking at where the moss is on the wall, it looks like it is 79. If however I am mistaken, I apologize.
It sounds like you would like the issue of trash/lingering barrels addressed also. If you would be willing, there is a group of Grove St. residents trying to work on this and we would love your help. Please let me know if this interests you.
Sharon,
I understand there was no malice intended I just wanted to clarify the picture. I just wanted the facts stated more clearly by providing my own picture. It's nice to hear there's a group going around the street and pointing out problem situations. This street has been eyesore for a long time.

Thank you so much for checking this.
In the future, if barrels are left outside for a long time after trash collection, what should residents do?
