Description
Alerting the town to ongoing safety concerns along Parkview Road, one of the major conduits to the Birch Meadow complex.
- Parkview is barely a two-way street and due to limited parking at many houses residents park on the street, constricting it even further. - No sidewalks with exception of 2 houses between Parkview and Auburn and corner of Parkview and Weston. Thus pedestrians are forced to walk in the street.
- No crosswalk from Parkview across Oakland; this is particularly dangerous as visibility for pedestrians on Parkview who cannot see oncoming traffic over the rise on Oakland.
- No posted speed limit signs along Parkview (in fact all of Birch Meadow complex should be evaluated for this).
- Large volume of cars driving too fast for pedestrian safety, especially during the school year.
